Poem 33 in Year 59

During Diane Rehm’s conversation with Akhil Sharma regarding his book Family Life, he stated that he hoped his book would help others, as he himself had been helped by writing it. This is how I feel about my ebook     I Pity the Man Who Marries You, found at this link:

Today’s poem reflects a nugget of what I learned while writing my book.

“Grounded”

Placing first my
Left, then right foot,
Always full sole on the ground, I
Need the earth with
The fullness of my heart.
In my mind
Grows the gift of
Renaissance,
A walk of
Day-by-day, moment-by-moment
Existence.
