Reticent beings, like

Yeti and Bunyip,

Prefer

They’re not seen, and

In the PNW

Dwells the simian-like

Sasquatch, as folklore tells.

His

Inherited

Rough,

Shaggy, totally

Uncontrollable hair caused

Them to deem him crude,

Even though it wasn’t at all fair. 

Ediz Hook

Mounded earth spits

Out into the Strait,

Rounding a bit to form

A hook; the harbor

Is deep, a

Natural pool, cool glacial

Evidence.

Unpredictable

Everyone has their moments –

Reactions, out of the blue, when

Reason, mindfulness,  

And caring seem to have flown the coop.

Take each moment for what

It is, but ever watchful be, in case the

Course changes precipitously.

Ponder

Many conflicting thoughts, whether

Unspoken or shared,

Linger in the mind awhile till at

Last resolution is dared.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!

Ruling

Over all

Of the hens, he

Struts and crows

Throughout the pen and

Eagerly pecks,

Regally, again and again.

Times two or three on the first

Repeat this

Animal name and it may in the month

Bring good luck your way,

But

It must be the first word uttered

That day.

Just a side note: this might zoologically be a hare. :-) Not sure.
