Poem #5 of Year 59

Today’s word, epithalamium, is an ode that honors a bride and bridegroom. Marriage is in the air this year. Considering those involved, I decided to give this wordplay a bit of gravitas.

Expressions of caring and
Plentiful sharing
Inspire all gathered
To honor you two.
Happy thereafter,
A life full of laughter and
Loving and safety
And good health to you!
May your experience
Include a resilience that
Ultimately brings
Many years of love true.

Normally I don’t attempt to fit my acrostic poems into a particular metric pattern or rhyme scheme. Since, however, this word indicates a form of poetry, I thought I should honor it with some semblance of form.
