Ages old attitude

Men, who have always been

In power, in control will unlikely

Surrender any

Of it to play a different role; they

Go on loathing the female sex –

Yes, in this domination –

Needing her in so many ways,

Yet treating her with abomination.

The attitude that girls and women are possessions, incapable beings, necessary only to “be fruitful and multiply,” that they can’t think critically, that they invite violence to themselves – this is the unwavering standpoint of most of the world’s religions, perpetuated by their ancient texts.
