26th letter in Year 59

For this Wordplay Project of Year 59 I decided the words would be randomly chosen, but that I wouldn’t repeat an initial letter in a 26-poem cycle. Today’s word marks the last letter of the first cycle of this project. Interesting that it would be ‘n’ on the 9th of the month. I figure that by the time I turn 60, I will have gone through the alphabet 14 times!

Nellie knitted everything from

Evening gowns to knickers. When
